But the self-taping trend brings with it a huge amount of anxiety about the setup, lighting and editing. So how do actors navigate the technical end and not forget to focus on the most important thing, “the performance”?Stephanie Czajkowski, known for her work in Star Trek Picard, Doom Patrol, MacGruber and the Manitoba shot “Breakthrough,” will provide instruction on pitfalls and challenges of self-taping for a role, and how to find the creativity in something that can be so daunting.During this masterclass, the performers will receive feedback on their self-tape submission, and then the instructor will have actors re-do their “auditions” based on her feedback and direction. This training session will provide constructive coaching in a positive group dynamic.\n\n\n\nAbout the instructor:\n\n\n\nOriginally from Wisconsin, an early obsession with the Brady Bunch lead Stephanie to pursue a career in the Arts. After high school, she attended NYU where she received her BA in acting and ran the Student Council, before heading for Los Angeles. Supporting herself working as a fitness instructor and a bartender, her “big break” came with the role of Paramedic #1 on TLC’s I Didn’t Know I was Pregnant, where she cut a fake umbilical cord on a very life-like plastic baby. This was soon followed by parts on Criminal Minds, NCIS Los Angeles, How to Get Away with Murder, Gray’s Anatomy, Shameless, The Exes and Bones, where she got to throw an axe but sadly, not murder anyone with it. Stephanie has performed in regional theater, and once played famed Irish Pirate Grannia in a musical that packed them in on the Jersey Shore. She was also featured in the indie comedy Sorry For Your Loss where she starred with Bruce Greenwood, Justin Bartha and Lolita Davidovitch.
