Wanting to round out the on-the-job training he received working on set, he attended the Film Production program at Confederation College (Thunder Bay, ON.).\n\n\n\nUpon graduating in 2007, Reed returned to Winnipeg with a more complete understanding of the filmmaking process and a hunger to continue learning. Since 2009 he has been a member of the Director’s Guild of Canada, rising through the Assistant Director department and now working as a 1st Assistant Director.\n\n\n\nAs an active member of the film community, he has held the position of Vice President of the DGC’s Manitoba District Council since 2016 and during the same time has also increased his participation as an instructor through DGC as well as Film Training Manitoba.\n\n\n\nJohn B. Lowe is an actor, director and filmmaker and has been working in theatre, film and television for over 35 years.  He has appeared in many feature films and TV movies with a long list of appearances on American and Canadian TV shows as a regular, recurring or guest performer.\n\n\n\nJohn B. has produced, written and directed several award-winning short films and is developing new film and video projects for his company, Broccolo Creative.  John B. is also an accomplished theatre actor and director. He has appeared on numerous stages across Canada and has produced and directed many independent theatre projects.\n\n\n\nJohn B. has been teaching emerging and established professional actors since 1989. He teaches Screen Acting at the University of Winnipeg, he was the School Director at Prairie Theatre Exchange for ten years and was the artistic director of St. Albert Children’s Theatre.
