Focus Hub Inc. and Film Training Manitoba are teaming up again for a meetup for people working in (or curious about) the performing arts and film industries.\n\n\n\nDuring this session, FTM and Focus Hub Inc. will invite attendees to meet and network in an open and supportive manner. This is a low-pressure, community-first gathering designed to help creatives connect, share experiences, and build relationships across disciplines.\n\n\n\nWho this is for:\n\n\n\n\nPerforming arts: actors, singers, dancers, theatre performers\n\n\n\nFilm & media: producers, directors, editors, cinematographers\n\n\n\nCreative & technical crew: sound, lighting, post-production, designers\n\n\n\n\nWhat to expect:\n\n\n\n\nCasual networking and introductions\n\n\n\nCross-disciplinary conversations between stage and screen\n\n\n\nA welcoming, inclusive environment with no pressure to perform or pitch\n\n\n\nExploring industry needs and meet-up expectations.\n\n\n\n\nWhy this meetup:\n\n\n\nCreative work thrives in the community. STAGE × SCREEN is about breaking silos, widening access for underrepresented communities, and creating space for meaningful connections across Manitoba’s creative industries.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFTM is a member of the Province of Manitoba’s Sector Council Program funded through the Manitoba Business, Mining, Trade & Job Creation. FTM builds a highly skilled and adaptable film industry workforce to support the activities of Manitoba production companies. FTM collaborates and partners with members of the film and television industry to identify training needs to support workforce development output.\n
