Post-Production Workflow

About the Workshop:

This two-day course will help the learner gain a deeper understanding of the workflow of post from beginning to end with a special focus on Avid, Adobe & DaVinci Resolve workflow options & DaVinci Resolve – conforming, colour & finishing workflow options.

Course Overview: 

DAY 1

• Classroom discussion of best practices regarding post-production (offline and online workflows)
• Avid MC, Adobe Premiere & mainly Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve workflow options
• File organization, dailies, syncing, editorial, finishing, colour, exports, etc.

Day 2

• In-suite demo/discussion of film/television editorial conforming (online workflow)
  • Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve – conforming workflow examples (television & film)
  • Proxy to camera-original online edit
• In-suite demo/discussion of colour correction and final online finishing/delivery
• Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve – colour workflow
  • Discussion of colour correction (balancing/base colour)
  • Discussion of colour looks and styles (LUTs, effects, etc.)
• Examples and demos of final online finishing and delivery
