About This Course:

Film Training Manitoba is thrilled to announce this special partnership session with the American Film Institute on editing and post-production.

Film Editing is often described as “The Invisible Art,” but…is it?  If so, how can it be evaluated or discussed, and how can Film Editors be celebrated for their achievements?  What is great editing, and how do we know it if we can’t see it?  Does all great film editing aspire to “invisibility,” and if so, how does that aspiration affect those who practice the art?  If you notice the editing, does that make the film less enjoyable or less meaningful?

This session is for editors, filmmakers, writers, and film professionals who want to learn more about film editing.

During this session, the instructor will cover a lesson plan and be open to taking questions during a moderated section of the lesson.
