Web Series as an Entrepreneurial Business

What does it take to make a web series successful? What does success look like? What the heck does Transmedia mean?
Web Series Incubator
Featuring Screenwriter and Web Series Creator Scott Albert

$200 (plus a non-refundable $35 application fee)
The Web Series Incubator is an intensive training event where you will be challenged to create original concepts for a scripted web series with transmedia extensions. This workshop also includes Concepts and Ideas (October 4) and Premise and Pilot Development (October 6/7). Participants of the Web Series Incubator will also attend the Web Series Case Studies: The New Indie; Web Series as an Entrepreneurial Business; and the Crew Training Film Shoot. Participants will be required to write and rewrite scripts and prep for the Crew Training Film Shoot outside of the workshop dates. After the Incubator, teams may choose to complete their projects on their own time.
Content Development and Pitching Workshop

The pitch is the vital step to getting your project from “idea” to development or production deal. This workshop has been designed to help participants hone their idea and will provide practice, coaching, and feedback responding to the needs of each individual.
Film Training Crew Shoot

Workshop Dates | October 20th & 21st, 2012
10am – 6pm | $50
Participants will undergo an extensive hands-on approach to develop the technical skills needed for the positions of director or photography, camera operator, lighting/grip, sound/boom operator, and 1st assistant director. The participants will have the opportunity to be mentored by an established professional crewmember on a one-on-one basis.
