DOC MB and FTM Launch the Second Year of the DEEP DIVE Program for Documentary Filmmakers

In partnership with Film Training Manitoba, DOC Manitoba will be launching year 2 of our documentary mentorship program aimed at nurturing the next generation of documentary filmmakers. This initiative also supports the growth and development of existing filmmakers within the genre.

The DEEP DIVE program will consist of ten individual hours of mentorship for Manitoba-based documentary filmmakers. Four Manitobans will be selected between Oct. 30, 2024 and Nov. 30, 2024.

The selected participant and mentors can work together as followed:

  • In-person meetings Via the telephone ZOOM or teams
  • Interested applicants are asked to submit a cover letter and CV. The cover letter should consist of the following information:
  • Why you are a good applicant for a mentorship
  • The type of coaching you are looking to receive from a mentor (E.G. producing coaching, directing coaching or editing coaching etc.)
  • The documentary project(s) you are working on and what stages you are in.

Please email your cover letter and CV to info@filmtraining.mb.ca with the subject line: The DEEP DIVE selection jury.

If selected the participant and mentor will be required to sign a mentorship agreement and both will be required to fill the FTM an evaluation. Successful participant will be required to pay a $50 registration fee.
