About the course:
Over the course of two days, the participants and instructor will have an in-depth discussion in a 30-minute one-on-one session on how to improve the participant’s skills within jobs and careers in the film industry.
Whether the participant would like advice on how to excel in a career, or guidance on taking the next steps, these one-on-one coaching sessions will help the participant to identify potential opportunities within the film industry.
About the Instructor:
Ellen Rutter is a film industry veteran, and a long-standing leader and manager. Ellen is a member of the Director Guild of Canada’s Manitoba District Council and has served in a wide collection of film industry positions including as a production manager, line producer, and producer.
Ellen was the first the recipient of Canada’s Supporting Women in Film Trades (SWIFT) Award for her years of service championing women and other unrepresented workers.
Ellen has instructed and developed a wide collection of FTM programs and regularly serves as an FTM mentor to upgrade the skills of Manitoba’s film industry professionals.
Cancellation Policy
Participants must cancel up to 4 full business days prior to the course start date to receive an 80% refund. No refund will be given to participants who cancel within 4 full business days before the course start date, or if they do not attend the course.
Film Training Manitoba reserves the right to cancel, or postpone, any course where a minimum registration level has not been met. Participants registered for a course that is canceled will receive a full refund.
FTM is a non-for-profit charity and member of the Province of Manitoba’s Sector Council program funded through the Economic Development, Investment, Trade and Natural Resources. FTM builds a highly skilled and adaptable film industry workforce to support the activities of Manitoba production companies. FTM collaborates and partners with members of the film industry to identify training needs to support workforce development.
