Manitoba’s training and workforce development organization, Film Training Manitoba (FTM) has created a new self-directed online training course for Manitobans in the area of post-production.
The new online course is designed to demystify the various stages in post-production, train and grow Manitoba’s workforce.
“As Manitoba’s film industry has grown, more post-work is being done here and FTM’s course is the first-of-its-kind to develop our film community’s capacities,” said Andrew Yankiwski, FTM’s chairperson and owner of Precursor Production.
FTM’s online courses include the new Working as an Extra: Introduction to Background Performing course. All FTM training is designed to attract and build Manitoba’s film industry workforce.
The new Introduction to Post-Production course was created by eleven film industry professionals like Manitoba film veteran Francois Balcaen.
“For over twenty years FTM has played a critical role in building Manitoba’s film industry workforce with world-class training. This new course is another responsive and forward-thinking training course. Great work FTM!” said Balcaen.
