Film Training Manitoba’s Supporting Women in Film Trades (SWIFT) Nominated for Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce Spirit of Winnipeg Award

Film Training Manitoba is honoured to announce our nomination for the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce’s Workplace Culture and CODE Award, which celebrates businesses that foster exceptional workplace cultures through diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being. This award highlights organizations committed to building positive spaces for employees and creating equitable workplaces that align with The Chamber’s CODE (Commitment to Opportunity, Diversity, and Equity) initiative.

“Canada’s Supporting Women in Film Trades (SWIFT) is the only conference globally that provides training for women film tradespeople,” said FTM’s board chairperson Andrew Yankiwski.

He added, “The SWIFT Conference continues to be a highly effective program to support innovations in Manitoba’s film industry, and I wish to thank the Province of Manitoba’s Sector Council Program, plus all of the staff and supporters of FTM for their continued hard work.”

The awards gala will be taking place Wednesday, June 4, 2025, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Hotel Fort Garry, 7th Floor, Concert Hall.
