About the Lecture:

During this training session, the instructor will provide in-depth learning on the role of a Visual Consultant in the film industry. The instructor will explore the various responsibilities, creative process, and skills required to succeed in this specialized position. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience as a multidisciplinary creative professional, instructor Jose Carrasco will share practical insights from his career while highlighting the value and impact of Visual Consultants across a wide range of film and television productions.

This lecture is designed for directors, cinematographers, production designers, producers, art department, costume designers, and other crew members.

Participants will be invited to ask questions and will receive feedback in a professional and supportive environment.

About the Instructor:

Jose Carrasco is a multidisciplinary creative professional with over 30 years of experience spanning film, television, and theatre production design, fashion design, interior design, illustration, and styling. Collaborations include major international studios and production companies, hospitality, fashion and luxury brands. José also has a rich history as a creative entrepreneur, having run his own exclusive atelier for evening wear. José has also exhibited his design and fine art internationally. His film and television work experiences include Duster (TV Series 2025), Safe Houses (TV Series 2026) and Little House on the Prairie (Season 1 & 2).

  • Participants must cancel up to 4 full business days prior to the course start date to receive an 80% refund.
  • No refund will be given to participants who cancel within 4 full business days before the course start date, or if they do not attend the course.
  • Film Training Manitoba reserves the right to cancel, or postpone, any course where a minimum registration level has not been met. Participants registered for a course that is canceled will receive a full refund.
